Two time SuperMoto World Champion Gerald Delepine will move back to the Husqvarna Cross2R Team in 2009. This is the same team Delephine took the 2005 World Championship with.
Becoming World Champion again in 2007 after a season long dogfight with eventual runner up Attilio Pignotti, Delepine had a tough start to the 2008 season and ended an eventual third in the S2 Championship.
On the other hand Cross2R had a troubled season with continuous ups and downs. With Kevin Berthome injuring himself at Greinbach. Sylvain Bidart went on to take sixth in the S1 Championship and also the French S1 National Title. Being provided with factory Husqvarna machinery both the team and Delepine aim at being a strong duo in 2009 with Cross2R also managing a Motocross team. Racing the Italian and European Championships this other squad will have the Husqvarna TC 250 and the riders will be Giò Di Palma and Pierluigi Facchetti.
A new line up including also S1 World Championship riders will be announced early in 2009.

Randy de Puniet took part in the Bomboogie Xtreme Supermotard race at the Bologna motorshow over the weekend, thoroughly enjoying the experience onboard a Honda 450CRF despite some bad weather at the event and coming home in eighth position.
The 27-year-old also met fans and signed autographs at the show before commenting, `I enjoyed myself very much during these two days. The bad weather conditions slowed down our pace but it was good training for me. The guys here are very fast because they have competed in the Supermoto championship for a long time and I never expected to end in the top ten.´
