Check out the podcast of the interview that US radio program Pit Pass Radio did with USA Pro Supermoto owner Matt Stewart. Interesting interview about the upcoming 2013 USA Pro Supermoto season that is about to start at the Stateline Supermoto event in Primm Nevada.
"In the last few months I got new ideas on how to continue my career. That is why we broke up."
If this is the complete story we will never know, Ivan Lazzarini also left the team last year because he was unsatisfied with the team and the development of the bike.
Great video of the European Supermoto Championship back in 2002. Back when the main class was riding big +600cc monsters instead of the 450cc everybody is riding now. Love the battle between van den Bosch(3) on the KTM 660 and Boris Chambon(2) on the Husqvarna 630 at the end.
Fast Wheels Aprilia rider and Supermoto World Champion 2011 Adrien Chareyre posted this sneak peak photo of his 2013 Aprilia SMXV Factory. Details about this bike are a bit unclear, will Aprilia sell this as a race replica? Or is it just Adrien Chareyre's new 2013 livery and nothing more?
I wish Aprilia would make the SMXV street legal. I doubt they are selling many of them for MX but they are great for Supermoto. The strong twin motor is a bit much for MX but the power is great for riding Supermoto.
Everybody loves the SXV but the unreliability of the earlier models has hurt the SXV's reputation a lot. I believe there will be many riders interested in a reliable SMXV 450 for the street. Comment and discuss!
The original location of USA Pro Supermoto’s first race of 2013 that was set to take place in Palm Springs, California has been moved to Primm, Nevada. USA Pro Supermoto and Agua Caliente Casino made full efforts to make sure the race was going to be the largest supermoto race that the United States has seen in years. Unfortunately the local fire marshal was unable to approve the track. After many meetings and work hours there was still no resolution that the fire marshal would accept other than to cut the already small track in half.
Our next step was to talk to the race teams and riders to determine what was best for the series. Many individuals requested that the race be moved to Primm, NV for the already established Stateline Challenge. This would save many teams money due to the fact that they already plan to compete at this event.
The 2013 Stateline Challenge is set to take place on April 25-28. Pre-reregistration will open on March 1st. We are very sorry for any inconvenience that this has caused anyone. We will continue to work hard every day to make 2013 a successful year for USA Pro Supermoto!

British Championship supermoto ace Lewis Cornish suffered a broken hand in a recent mountain bike crash whilst in training for the 2013 season.
The injury is healing well and Lewis proved his fitness by taking his race bike for a shakedown run at the Anglia Karting supermoto circuit.
This season the Norfolk racer will be competing in the televised British Championship and also selected European Grand Prix, as well as the British Masters Championship where he finished on equal points for first place last season. Joining Lewis in his Nameplate Services/Dave Clarke Racing team will be youngster Davey Todd who has shown his potential this year racing in the European and British Championships.
Australian racer Ross Gurd will also be racing alongside his English team-mates as he competes in his first season in the British Championships.
