The comeback of the German Supermoto Championship to the Odenwaldring in Schaafheim offered many exciting races. Hermunen once again dominated the S1 class while his teammate Herrmann had to battle hard to grab the overall win in the S2 class. Once again a succesful weekend for the Husqvarna Zupin riders. Marcel van Drunen wins again in Holten

Marcel van Drunen from the Yamaha MVD Goldspeed Team has won round six of the Dutch Open Championship Series at Holten last Sunday. Van Drunen won both motos and took his fifth straight win of the season. Angelo Bouchee finished second overall in front of the Brit David Hartley.

Airoh 2011 model preview

 
Airoh, the Italian manufacturer of the superlight Off-road helmets have posted a preview on their site of their new 2011 models.
The new Aviator model will be replacing the Stelt and they also launched the new CR900 model which looks like the budget version of the Aviator. The new models will be available from september. Check out airoh.com for more info

Supermoto Week in France

Ludovic Lucquin, team manager of Team Luc1 , in collaboration with MC Kopstal (Luxembourg) and MC Villars, organizes a special Supermoto week for drivers of all levels.

The festivities begin at Mirecourt 14 & 15 August for a friendly competition.On the 16,17 and 18th of august there will be time to enjoy a holiday with a concert, BBQ, games and various sports challenges.

On the 19th, everybody will go to Villars-sous-Ecot (about 100km) for some racing, 19 & 20 (also with activities on site or nearby) and a second race (just as friendly) on august 21 and 22.

The competitions are organized to bring together
two Open classes, a category "Light" for recreational and amateur riders and a Pro class for experienced drivers and professional racers.

American Jake Thompson tries World Supermoto

Team Fast Wheels (St Elpidio Italy) has invited American SuperMoto USA rider #611 Jake Thompson to compete in rounds 3& 4 of the FIM World Championship Supermoto S1 series. Riding an Aprilia factory supported MXV 450,
Jake (2009 AMA /XTRM 450 Champion) got his initiation to racing at the highest level of Supermoto competition this past weekend in Sakt Wendel, Germany. Thompson placed 21st overall on the Team Fast Wheels prepared machine.
