MVD Racewear is proud to announce that Bernd Hiemer has decided to ride with the specially developed MVD Racewear gear in 2010. Bernd wants to make a big comeback this year after fully recovering from his injuries in 2009 and he hopes the MVD Racewear gear will help him achieve his goals. Bernd Hiemer had his first race last weekend at the Supermoto Indoor in Friedrichshaven Germany. Hiemer was surprised by the comfort and low weight of the gear compared to a full leather race suit. Especially the improved freedom of movement was something Bernd really liked.
Hiemer wants to grab his 3rd World Championship in 2010 and we are sure that the MVD Racewear gear will help him to achieve this goal. MVD Racewear will design a special set of gear that will perfectly match the Motoracing KTM he will be riding in 2010. Next to this KTM colored suit he will also ride with one of the normal colorways available at MVD Racewear. MVD Racewear would like to wish Bernd Hiemer all the luck in 2010 and hopes that Bernd will confirm the slogan of MVD Racewear: Choice of Champions!

Jeroen Andries is the winner of the Indoor Supermoto Zwolle. Belgian KTM rider Jeroen Andries finished 2nd in the Indoor Supermoto Hardenberg last in November. Looks like he is a talent we need to watch out for. He took first place and the prize money in front of Belgian KTM rider Nicolas Stampaert and Speedhouse Husqvarna rider Ruurd van Roozendaal. You can view the video of the Superfinal above (video courtesy of Supermotard.nl ). In the National class Dimitri van Bost won the final in front of Koen Roos and Taco Bakker. Rumours where floating around that Thomas Chareyre will be joining the TM team in 2010 but I didn't want to post about it until it was official. Since the same news is now on the official Youthstream site I thought it was safe enough to post. Thomas will be leaving the Husqvarna team after several years of riding for Husqvarna in the World Championship. He will be joining the TM team wich is keeping Davide Gozzini for 2010. Occhini will be leaving the TM team to join Suzuki Rigo Racing. Nothing is known yet about the future of S1 World Champion Thierry van den Bosch...

The need to save money to compete in a championship does not come only from the big international competitions, but also in Italy they move to get races with more participants and better performance, as proposed by the DBO in its events Supermoto Championships: Internazionali d’Italia, Campionato Italiano FMI and the Coppa Italia. The Coppa Italia is a new class for 2010 with only Italian motorcycle manufacturers.
The major changes lie in adopting the single tire supplier for the categories S1 and Open and the limit of tire changes to 4 a Weekend (2 for the Coppa Italia). This will lead to a drastic reduction of costs, as strongly wanted by the teams, and, consequently, the prize money will increase. The choice for supply of tires fell on Goldentyre.
In the S1 and Open class rider is allowed to bring two motorcycles, while in S2 only one is accepted. The 2010 championship has 6 rounds. Click read more for the full calendar.
