How about a small introduction of yourself to the readers of Supermoto Central?
Hello everyone, my name is Mattia (you may know me as Tia 7), I'm from Italy and I'm a supermoto rider for five years now. Now I'm doing an Italian championship in the amateur S1 class.

How did you get into supermoto and what do you find so great about it?
I bought my first supermoto in 2008, it was a simple Husqvarna 125, riding everyday and enjoying it, I've founded a reason of life.

When and how did the idea for this project originated? What was your inspiration?
Feelings with Husqvarna bikes was from the origins, so I decided to race with them, doing excellent from the start with first and multiple podium places. One bike is enough to do the amateur S1 class you can say, but why settle? So I decided to built up two SM 510 RR, one for racing and one for training.

Can you tell us in short how the build went? Did you have any big problems or did it all went smooth?
I pick up the parts from all over the world (like 7602 racing covers in America)... The frames are from the CH Racing team, the frame used in the race bike was originally used in S1 by Chareyre. The engine is a tuned 510 injection 2010 model.

What do you use your bike for? Do you ride it on the street or just take it to the track once in a while?
For race use only! I think there is no better way to give full throttle between the curbs!

Is this your first supermoto project or did you also build other supermoto bikes?
I've owned 6 Husqvarna's before these two... so the answer is: yes! I've built up other supermotos.

Have you got any tips or advice for people that want to start a project like this?
Building an unique supermoto is expensive and exhausting... but it is worth it! The satisfaction you will have every time you go in you garage is unbelievable.
