my name is Marco, i'm italian but emigrated to the UK 12 years ago.
How did you get into supermoto and what do you find so great about it?
I always loved off road bikes. when I was about 15 years old my dream was to drive a honda cr 250 on the road, and show off with it...
With the years SM came along and that was it. SM's are so much fun. I sold my Aprilia Tuono to sponsor my next SM project.
When and how did the idea for this project originated? What was your inspiration?
I had few others SM before, but 3 years ago I bought the Berg mainly because it was the fastest bike out there at the time, loved the fact that it looks different from all other SM, definately unusual.
My inspiration? To have the best bike, I tryed to make it even more unique and different spending loats of time on the web looking for ideas and for parts.

Can you tell us in short how the build went? Did you have any big problems or did it all went smooth?
Well, I had nightmares with the plastics when i had them done in white, paint just would not stick; also the alloy tank being home made didnt really fit properly touching the head of the motor, had to do loads of adjustments.
You always tend to get problems when you keep changing parts...
What do you use your bike for? Do you ride it on the street or just take it to the track once in a while?
I used to ride it more on the road before, now it's mainly track days.
Is this your first supermoto project or did you also build other supermoto bikes?
I had an '03 CRF450, and a TTR600 which I converted in SM, but nothing as extreme as the berg.
Do you have any plans for another supermoto project in the future?
Not sure yet, but looking at the new 570 berg.
Have you got any tips or advice for people that want to start a project like this?
Just go for it, & dont look at the bank account.
