How about a small introduction of yourself to the readers of Supermoto Central?

Hi my name is fastdave from the UK.

How did you get into supermoto and what do you find so great about it?

I first got into supermoto after getting tired of riding road bikes on the road  for fear of losing my license and livelyhood if I ever got caught speeding, so I bought my first sm, a ktm 525 which I soon got bored with as like most ktm`s there just so slow. The best thing for me about sm is probably the people who ride them, I have yet to meet anyone who isn't willing to share a tip or lend a hand when you run into problems.

When and how did the idea for this project originated? What was your inspiration?

I wanted to make my husky stand out from the sxv/ktm crowd with the dual exhausts and different graphics and it always draws attention whenever its parked up.

What’s was the base for your project?

The base for my husky project was seeing pats crf500 and kingkarls sxv and knowing I could make a better bike which I think i have done.

Can you tell us in short how the build went? Did you have any big problems or did it all went smooth?

The build whent fine and the only problem I ran into was lining the decals up properly(thanks bro), like most specials theres still a couple of small jobs still to do but on the whole I am happy with the end result.

What do you use your bike for? Do you ride it on the street or just take it to the track once in a while?

I have 6 bikes in the garage at the moment and not 1 is road registered as I much prefer the track as its alot safer.

Is this your first supermoto project or did you also build other supermoto bikes?

This is my first project but I am in the middle of building a dual exhaust crf 450 that is nearly ready.

Have you got any tips or advice for people that want to start a project like this?

For anyone wanting to start a build make sure you join a decent supermoto forum I am a member of www.seventeeninches.co.uk and its full of really helpfull people willing to share info.
