Arriving at the Alpe d'Huez at the top of the S1 class with a 30-point lead, Sylvain Bidart (Honda Luc'1) is set to expand his points lead. Aurelien Grelier (Honda) second in the S1 class, has nothing to lose and will try everything to win.
The qualifications set the tone: a 1:08.101 for Grelier and 1:08.156 for Bidart. But Bidart won the Superpole and grabbed pole postion. In the first race Bidart won while Grelier finished within a second in 2nd place.
In the second race, the two riders had a fierce battle. Bidart came out on top with the second win of the day in front of Grelier.
In the Superfinal, Aurelien Grelier takes his revenge with a win, but overall, Bidart has widened the gap. In the absence of Boris Chambon (Honda) and Adrien Coquet (TM), injured Lohéac, Aurelien Rolland (Kawasaki) has all the room to grab the third spot.

S2 class
Stephane Blot (Yamaha) has for many years been untouchable in Alpe d'Huez.
Too comfortable maybe? Blot makes a mistake in the free practise and falls hard. Sunday morning, he is still in pain and the "Professor" abandons the Superpole. Yet, despite a rough start behind Guillaume Flandin (Luc'1 Honda) and David Baffeleuf (HM-Honda), he managed to easily win the first race. Guillaume Flandin could do nothing.
In the second round, Flandin took command and resists attacks from Blot on the Yamaha. In the Superfinal Blot finishes 3rd while Flandin finishes 6th. He leaves to Alpe d'Huez leading the championship with three points ahead of Flandin. David Baffeleuf occupies the third place of the day.
